Ever find yourself so busy that you neglect what is really important? There are great opportunities all around us— and many of us are “yes” people, willing to help and serve and meet whatever need we see— but at what cost? Last night for a few hours, I set aside everything else that was vying for my attention and cuddled with my girls— just my two girls! We spent the whole evening together, eating ...as much as we wanted, playing, combing our hair, laughing and cuddling together as we read a book. I found myself repeatedly leaning over to kiss their sweet heads as they lay on my shoulders, not wanting that moment to ever pass me by. Yes, God can use me in many ways— and there are needs all around me— but my ultimate calling right now is to disciple and nurture my children, and woe unto me if I miss that by looking only at other avenues of service! I look forward to spending another quality day with my girls today while the boys are off camping on our back yard =) I think I have a little bit of lost quality time to make up for, and I can’t wait to get started! I hope you have a wonderful day with those you love!
