What a beautiful day! I had the most amazing discussion with a woman at the park. She shared the Bible...the way I imagine many shared before we had the words...it was like sitting with my GrandMother and hearing the stories....what a beautiful way for God to speak to me today! Has he spoke to you through others?

In my devotions this morning, I spent some time meditating on Who God is. I came up with many things very quickly: He is the "Lifter up of my head" (Oh, there are moments I really need that, don' t you?) He is the Creator. He is my Redeemer... What are some of the other things characteristic of God that we can all celebrate together today?

The Lord was working in my heart this morning through Romans 12... "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Every time I come across that passage, the "reasonable" gets me. It really is reasonable for Him Who gave so much to expect me to offer myself a living sacrifice. There are days when my mind and body revolt against that idea, though. I need MY space... MY time... MY way... MY... MY! How I pray that today it is clear for all to see Who I serve with everything in me. May the Lord make His face to shine on you all today!

God just specifically answered our prayer regarding our broken down van. We are so thankful for His care and provision! What specific answers to prayer have your family seen lately??

"Faith is unutterable trust in God, trust which never dreams He will not stand by us." (Oswald Chambers) So many of you have expressed deep needs in your family or in the lives of those close to you. This morning, my heart has been especially burdened to pray for several families that I do not even know. May God grant you the grace and peace that comes with "never dreaming He will not stand by you." And, may you see His hand at work in very definitive ways today. Thank God that He never leaves nor forsakes His own!!!
